Meet Your Instructor

I'm Jeanette Mesite Frem, MHS, IBCLC, CCE, lactation consultant, childbirth educator, and former doula. Since before and and then after getting my master's degree in public health, I have supported breastfeeding families and in recent years I noticed a gap: many healthcare providers felt uncertain about nipple shield recommendations and there was no standard education about choosing and using them. Some are over-recommending nipple shields, while others avoid them altogether. I created this course to bridge that gap and provide the guidance I wish I'd had early in my career.
